Tiger Woods to win World Golf Championships

Terry Lane - Monday 25.02.08, 08:44am

Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey were the only UK golfers to make it through the second round of the WGC (World Golf Championships) Match Play this weekend at Dove Mountain, Tucson, Arizona, where they lost to loosing Stewart Cink and K J Choi.

Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Luke Donald all lost, as did world number two Phil Mickelson, who was beaten by Australia’s Stuart Appleby.

Tiger Woods is well on his way to yet another tournament victory. He is currently 8up with 9 holes to play.

As Ian Poulter recently said:

“There’s Tiger [Woods] and then there’s the rest.”

Final (36 holes - 1500 & 1915):
Tiger Woods (US) v Stewart Cink (US)
Woods 8up after 27 holes
