A couple in Australia discovered a three-foot python at their property with four round shapes in its stomach and realised it had eaten golf balls.
Apparently the snake hadn’t been seen sniping on the local golf course but had stolen them from a local chicken coop where they had been placed on chicken nests to calm broody hens!
The snake was taken to Currimbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Queensland State, Australia where the golf balls were safely removed.
“Without surgery, it would have certainly died,” the veterinarian, Michael Pyne told AFP.
“The golf balls had travelled as far as they could in the snake’s system and it was destined for a slow, painful death without surgery.
“You could clearly see the golf balls on the X-rays, so we knew what we were dealing with.”
