Geoff Ogilvy and Miguel Angel Jimenez found themselves at the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the Computer Associates Championship at Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, yesterday. But it seems everyone is more concerned with the world’s No. 1 golf player, Tiger Woods, who is seeking his sixth consecutive PGA Tour victory.
Tiger Woods shot a 5-under-par 67 in the first round, and trails the leaders by two shots. Always the self critic, Woods wasn’t too pleased with his performance. At the 18th hole, he had a three-putt bogey.
Woods was poised to join Ogilvy and Jimenez at 65 until he missed a 7-foot birdie putt on the 16th and three-putted the 18th from 70 feet, missing from 5 feet.
“You three-putt 18, you’re not going to be happy.” he told reporters.
