US Open Champion Lucas Glover leads the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda, taking a two shot lead over his rivals into the final round. Glover shot a six under 65 in the strokeplay event that features this years four major winners.

British Open winner Stewart Cink followed fellow American Glover, hitting 67, while the Master winner Argentinian Angel Cabrera is in third place, five shots off the lead with 70.

USPGA Champion Y E Yang makes up the group of four major winners and the South Korean currently trails the field with his round of 71.

The four contestants will share prize money of $1.35million with the winner taking the lions share of $600,000 and the fourth placed player guaranteed $200,000 for finishing last.

Glover has shown some fine form in Bermuda, his round of 65 included one eagle, six birdies and two bogeys at the Port Royal course, his compatriot Cink’s round of 67 including five birdies and one bogey.

Cink who was involved in that epic battle with Tom Watson to win the British Open was happy to soak up the atmosphere and reflect, saying;

“It’s a great honour to be here. Obviously, I want to play well and winning would be nice, but this is also about having a good time. It’s both a championship and a celebration of the four of us and the accomplishments of the year, and enjoying this beautiful setting.”
